I WILL COLLAPSE

This happened last year at the beginning of my days here in Morocco :)

Still in Palmerie, my tummy makes sound like a starving lion grawwwling on its prey, i digged up my bag for something to munch with but nothing, i opened the fridge i found only empty shelves and i was so hungry that i could eat a whole elephant. I had no other options but to go out the hotel and look for a grocery so i stood up and off i went. It took 10 more minutes by walk to reach the main entrance of the village. That was the time i remember i have no car and the way to go to the supermarket is a whooping number of kilometers, wait! il get taxi...almost an hour have passed and no cab! this is not really happening...i buzzed the reception to ask for for a service,  even almost kneeling down to let me ride the shuttle to go to the supermarket but it's out of the policy, instead they're just handed me a reference to the mini store close the village and i got so irritated more because this store is less than a kilometer and a half away when i thought i can tolerate it. No way!

Go there or not, but i need to eat! I can't knock on neighbor's door to ask for food. I dont know them anyway. Then i bugged out  under the heat of the sun of 45 deg, I'm loosing energy. I felt so dizzy and scared. I was actually walking on a palm yards and nobody wants to give me a free ride. I cannot breath, my mouth went very dry. I perspired a lot and felt cold. Sunrays seemed to be slicing my skin eventhough i applied sun protection, the small towel i put on my head was not enough to ease the warm weather. All i see around me is palm tress, dry grasses and cactuses...I was wearing a flip flop and i pity my feet, it was dumpy filled with dust and dried. But thanks my Lord im seeing the signage and i was in the grocery in a minute.

Still close! no dont tell me that! i waited on the bench outside praying they will open in soonest time which happend fast.So blessed.  Food! So happy i got my food! hahaha!

Lesson i have learned: buy food first before going to this hotel because there's  no taxi.
Wonder why i didnt go to resto? it's because at this time it was Ramadan...

PALMERAE

                                                               Marrakech Train Station

From a 3 hour train travel from Casa, yes at last i have arrived at almost 5 pm, the station is big, filled with shops and air-conditioned, i tell you now the weather here in Marrakech is warm and dry among other  domeneering citified here, Marrakech is important in Morocco, why?   because it is a tourist anchorage especially during summer season, It's called THE RED CITY as every buildings you see here even houses are painted in Red. Another thing i noticed here is that the avenues are uncluttred,  the natives of this red captivating burghal love for gardens and landscapes are the ones that will gladly recieve you and tote you a  n excitability that you are fondle at once from a long travel. There are many selection of hotels from three to five star label and hotel appartments where guest have their own kitchen with complete untensils and equipments to cook on your own. So you dont have to worry of where you will stay but if you plan to come here for holidays, you might as well consider to book a month before your arrival because of the unavailability instances.  Hotel appartments are very common here and that's where i stayed because of the 2 reasons,  first,   i need to cook my food, remember the food here is different than what we eat in my country,  its a sudden new switch to me that i need to unhurriedly enter upon,  next, i am under financial plan. I am in a manner of loot familiarization here until the last beans hill. The allocation i have needs to be stretched until the last day of my swinging around before i begin my work.

I took a petit taxi to go to the hotel, i have noticed that the taxi has diffent color, its brown, in casa its red. They have taxi color pegging maybe for straightforwarding city you are in and i find it cool. On the way to the hotel appartment, i got through the center of the city, a wow! it displays the  culture of this country like they are really promoting the city and i was really enticed with what i have seen.

Half an hour by taxi, i have reached the hotel reception to have me listed.

         Palmerie Village, Residence Marrakech

This famous village path is filled with palm tress, olive groves, cactuses and many different flower bearing trees  is truly a splendid lay away from the shadow of busy schedules. Designed to unwind with nature and relaxation for the family. The room is well furnished, clean, and just a walking gap to the pool. I find it like  nature trekking on the grounds of landscape with greens and colorful flowers along the way. Under the heat of  the sun ranging to 46 deg the time i went there, what a perfect time to splurge into the water.

I woke up early the next day because of this sound coming from bird which i thought is very close to my window, i was up not because it annoys me but i want to see what variety of bird its was, and i found out its coming from a pigeon. I never heard a sound like that before so i was thinking that it could be a bird of another kind and i wanna see it.  I love when pigeon does that kind of sound. Its soothing for me :).

1st TASTE OF TRAVEL

I had my very first travel on the same day after i took my breakfast. I went to this city down south east...a Red City they have labelled it. The photos you see here were taken from a moving train of course, but i was surprised that it all came out good, thanks for the tracking option :) I went to MARRAKECH, a 3 hour drive from Casa plus a bonus of back pain during a long hours of sitting down. Taking a train is very cheap way to go to this famous city.

I splurged my eyes with the wondrous view during the sleeky ride, there are numbers of empty terrains, rocky mountains, bushes of cactuse tree, and glad i found group of greens. I thought everything was just a rock alone and dry terrains, hmmmm...but it was somehow a loosen up jiffy with a cloudy sky :) Inside the train was more than a big find, i was busy with my clicks from a clear window side seat and i didnt get to see what's inside the vessel. There was a group of voyagers from different states of America and Europe, we all coerced to Red City for a holiday. These people talked over another the lock stock and barrel of the city with  a guide book in their hands....it was a long travel i could eat a horse but i got only a sandwich :)

LOST

I was going to an etihad airline office in Casa but on the second thought i bugged out to simmer down here, haha, i was lost and it was late to go there anyway beneath  the blitz  hour closing time. I didnt want to take a taxi ,meddling  i could just be there by walk and a map i have checked before leaving the hotel seemed so friendly.  But things went wrong, it was very hard to find this avenue with zigzag-y-s way. Whew! i still remember it was around 3 in the noon and the only way really to get there is by taxi. I thought i can make it. Silly me! So i said to myself..."i'll just go there 2m". So what i did was, i went to this park on the way to cool down a lil bit because it was a perfect sunny day so i got these sweat drops. I enjoyed this green shady area named Park de la league arab. I stayed for half an hour there and went to this old but still humming amusement park beside it. After i saw few old rides,  i left and went back to the hotel, but again i saw this bunch of flowers at the Place de nation unies so i had another photo taken there.  ( O . O )

ME IN STRANGE LAND

I just want share with you this which happend a  year ago, it was my first day in Casablanca, Morocco. I was walking from the hotel where i stayed a night to the other affiliate hotel for a breakfast. Haha i was surprised then, i had to passed 2 blocks to get my breakfast...What a very warm welcome for me, anyway my hotel has no space for resto :)

I rolled in here to work as nanny. During this very 1st day i was very delighted and filled with wonders in my heart of what this new locale has to bid me. I am in the other side of the globe where home is with sun and here a moon. I left my funny crazy family but it icludes hope and lots of expectations for my own growth and space.

The first 3 months were heart-breaking,  sleepless nights, my head turns to nowhere, i didnt touch my food, my eyes were only set on the photos of my family. I thought then, i was ready, yes i did say that many times before, but from top to bottom, it's  really out of the way when you wheeze  a new hook of draw breath and people are not the same. It's like i came back to basic, face it now! adjustment is hard but i can and i did. As long as i have my blood everyday via internet, however,  there are many options to communicate with them.

Every once a while homesickness attack me and  these mediums are no longer a satisfaction especially when i see them on cam having fun without me, celebrating occasions without my pressence, i have lost hugs and kisses,  i have missed these times and as long as i'm away i will still miss those time of laughters. I said to myself, that's the price i need to pay for being away. I lost time with my family. What matters the most is that all is in good shape, everybody is healthy and no more worries at my side.

Days have passed by so fast and now, more a year here, i learned to speak the local language which is Moroccan Darija , i recognized the culture and values and i have been to many places. I took thousand of photos of everything from food to places to people to blah blah blah...So i created this blog to share the things i got here.  ( O . O )
